Tracfone LG 530G

Submitted by Mike on

Appearing on Tracfones tutorial pages is the LG 530G a GSM phone with a full QWERTY keyboard. With the same OS interface that we have seen on LG’s 500, 800 and 900 series phones it will no doubt have the same features except it has 3G connectivity. This is probably the best looking LG QWERTY phone that I have seen in a while; it has got some cool modern styling to it.

3 more Android phones for Straight Talk

Submitted by Dave Won on

On the horizon another 3 more Android phones to come to Straight Talk all of these phones that could be on the shelves before July are going to be hard to beat. I predict that these phones will be around the $100 mark and they could be even less. The Androids: ZTE 990G Merrit,Huawei M865C and Samsung S720C So if you’re an Android fan like many are this is going to be good news. Straight Talk in the 3 years they have been around has brought out a lot of phones, maybe more than any other provider to date.

The truth about T-Mobile US 4G.. it's fake.

If you’re a person that likes a fast internet connection on your phone, then you’re not going to find it here in the states. Firstly there is no real T-Mobile 4G in the US yet, the companies that have been saying that they have this technology are twisting their words and false advertising. If you want to see what other countries such as Australia have look at this speed test on a REAL 4G LTE network.

Straight Talk 3G slower?

Submitted by Dave Won on
If you have noticed that your Straight Talk 3G (AT&T) connection on any of the Nokia phones has slowed over the last few days, then you’re not alone. When a request for a URL or download is made... There is an almost 10-second delay in response before the data comes down the airwaves; other people have been reporting intermittent slower speeds on HowardForum.com Whether this is due to overload of traffic on the AT&T MVNO servers, or AT&T trying to crack down on the overuse of their MVNO network, as has been done with native AT&T unlimited plans it’s anyone’s guess.

Straight Talk offers SIM cards

Straight Talk offers SIM cards. http://www.straighttalksim.com/ You no longer need to purchase one of Straight Talks phone in order to enjoy the benefits of the $45 unlimited plans. This is good news for people with unlocked GSM phones who want unlimited 3G, Talk & Text. This has got to be the best thing to happen since the day Straight Talk was first announced. The sim card kit is $14.99 at the Straight Talk sim card site: http://www.straighttalksim.com/ The cards are available in both microsim and regular sim cards size so you can even hook your iPad up to the 3G service. So getting your current model of phone on T-Mobile or AT&T might just be worth it.

Apple and the human cost.

If you’re an iPhone or iPad owner, then you have probably had to put the mental picture of how your phone was manufactured far away in the back of your mind, and no one would blame you. Given the disgusting working conditions endured by under paid staff working at Foxconn and Apple’s other miserable factories in China.

AT&T Huawei U2800A Review

Submitted by Dave Won. on
The AT&T U2800A is a base model cell phone that you can get for around the $20 mark. This phone is suited to someone who wants a really basic phone for making phone calls or texting. For someone who is on vacation, and they want a phone that they don’t really care about so much, or will have lesser chance of being stolen then this phone is the way to go. The AT&T U2800A is made by Huawei and is one of the cheapest phones that you can get on the AT& GoPhone prepaid network. This phone is 3G, but it will be a hard to take advantage of the 3G speeds given the phone only has a basic WAP browser that was great on cell phones two years ago. This phone has not got a Camera or a memory card slot. All in all, it is a $20 cell phone.

More Android based phones are on the way from Straight Talk Prepaid, which is exciting news for Straight Talk fans. It seems that Straight Talk just keep pushing and pushing the envelope when it comes to prepaid smart phones. In the third quarter we got the LG Optimus Q and Samsung Galaxy Precedent. Soon the company will have under its belt the LG Optimus Black and the LG Optimus 2X for sale of Straight Talk and Net10's website. The big question is will this phone be on the AT&T network or T-Mobile? 2012 will be a great year for prepaid. We’re excited!
