Straight Talk  Security Warning!!!

It has come to the attention of many users of the Straight Talk phone service that during the last 3 months, the people that are working at the call center in the  Philippines is changing phone numbers and giving out customers personal information to anybody who rings their 1800 customer help line.

This includes changing email addresses associated with peoples account allowing a bogus email accounts to be put in on request, there for getting the password on a persons account sent to this address.

Once the user has the persons login details, they then change the account information via the Straight Talk website.

These people taking advantage of this major flaw are changing the address of a real customer  to their address and then calling Straight Talk and requesting a new sim card to be sent to their address, allowing them to use the service.

We have attempted to contact Straight Talk in regards to this and we have found no one knows about it and understands how to address it.

In other words, as long as you know someone who has a NOKIA E71 or 6790 and their number, all you have to do is call Straight-talk saying that you forgot your password and e-mail then they'll change the e-mail to whatever you want then send you the password. You change the account details. You then request a new SIM card. When you get it, you place it in your unlocked phone. Call Straight Talk and get the new sim activated. You can now make anyone's number your own...and use their minutes!!! You also get access to their personal details.
