Straight Talk LG Optimus Q Review

Submitted by Dave Won. on
The LG Optimus Q, Straight Talk’s second Android phone is on its way. If you're interested you can already pre-order the phone at Straight Talk reserve order page here: http://reserve.straighttalkandroid.com/. This is a great phone with the addition of a full QWERTY keyboard. The LG Optimus Q is not a new model, it came out last year. This phone should be better than the Samsung Galaxy Precedent, LG from my experience have always made better phones. So this LG Optimus Q should make the competition worry. It is however going to be on the Sprint Network so check coverage maps before you order.

Cricket Huawei Pillar Review

Submitted by Dave Won. on
The new Huawei Pillar from Cricket is not a bad little phone for $29. The phone is really designed for someone who does a lot of texting because even though the phone kind of looks likes a semi smart phone… it is not. The screen is small at only 2’ diagonal and has a VGA Camera. The Pillar is a nice-looking phone despite its obvious cheap construction. If I was to compare this phone to another phone, we have reviewed. I guess the LG500G is getting close… but this phone is far from the quality LG500G. This phone uses the Paygo Nationwide Talk, Text & Web plan from Cricket. So you can either go the $25/mo for 300mins, unlimited text, unlimited web or $35/mo for 1000mins, unlimited text, and unlimited web. This phone is not 3G, so getting the most out of unlimited web data is going to be a bit hard. A great phone for texting, or even a quick basic email.

Cricket ZTE Score Review

Submitted by Dave Won. on
For some time now is a ZTE has been making very cheap phones for prepaid, but recently they brought out their first Android phone which is the ZTE Score is out in the United States on the prepaid brand Cricket Mobile. Currently you can purchase this phone for $89 excluding tax at Best Buy and other good phone retailers. Just some of the features of this phone are the 3.5-inch LCD screen which is the capacity screen touch screen. As with most Android phones it has a proximity sensor so the phone knows when it is being tilted to one side. Android 2.3 OS gingerbread is installed powered by a 600 MHz CPU. Probably one of the only features that really is lacking quality on this phone is its 3.2 megapixel camera it is not fantastic quality. The ZTE Score also has a GPS navigation software and hardware bulitin and has a Micro-SD slot for memory expansion. Included is a 4 GB Micro SD card which is a great value add especially when the phone is a cheap price already. This phone is in the Sprint network which has great coverage in most of the major cities, but if you're a person is traveling into the country areas you’re probably not going to find this phone as great as somebody in the city. In any case go out and either get the phone hands on, tested it or watch our video review to find out more about this new Cricket phone.

LG Optimus V Review

Submitted by Dave Won. on
There seems to a fair bit of heavy competition taking place at the moment in the Android prepaid world, and this is Virgins answer to the battle The LG Optimus V. Currently $99 at Best Buy stores it proves to be the one phone that is a reason to get excited, LG phones are typically high quality and this one is no different. This phone has to be used with the Beyond Talk plan. Which if you go for the cheapest plan, for $35 per month you get unlimited Data/Web/Text and 300 Talk minutes. Which really is a good deal. This phone is almost exactly the same as the LG Optimus S model.

NET10 LG Optimus Q Review

Submitted by Dave Won. on
Net10 users have reason to get excited; not one but two Androids are going to be released soon. The NET10 LG Optimus Q is going to be a little ripper, like all the Tracfone brands this phone will be using the Sprint Network. I think this a good move and should make Turk, Sweeper and the gang very happy. So good times form Straight Talk who get this phone aswell.

Lenovo ideapad Y560 Review

Submitted by Dave Won. on

Lenovo has made some great computers in its time and the Y560 is no exception, it has a sleek design that really looks the part.  The sound system and JBL speakers are just great.

I must say that after all the Lenovo software was uninstalled the laptop performed a lot better. The Core i7 CPU is great for getting stuff done quickly. After a few weeks of using the Y560 I find that the battery performance is not up to scratch with getting not much more than 2.5 hours from a charge.
