Allow installation of non-Market  or play store applications

To install non play store or Android market applications the normal location under application settings is missing on the LG Thrive, so go to the number dial screen and as if you were going to make a call dial:

3845#*506# (LG Thrive)

3845#*505# (LG Phoenix)

Can't wait for the ST LG Optimus 2X? then do this...

Ok, so this video is a quick review of the T-Mobile LG G2X but also to let you know you can get the G2X cheap of the web and just put a Straight Talk Sim card in... as they do sell Sim cards now. Also Simple Mobile sells Sim cards that use the T-Mobile network, with a plan that is $40 for Unlimited everything (3G) so just a heads up for those who can’t wait.

Tracfone LG 235C

The LG 235C is another little phone that is coming out from Tracfone soon. This phone is very much like the LG 231C that was released a few years ago. Though this phone may not excite many people that crave smartphone news; this will still be a great phone for someone after a simple phone with good battery life. The Standby time is 12.5 days, which is something that may really appeal to someone who forgets to charge regularly. Anyway, Tracfone still leads the way with basic phones. Price will be $10 to $20.

Straight Talk LG Optimus 2X 4G Review

Submitted by Eric Smith on Tue, 01/24/2012

For most people this phone to get outright at $249 might be hard to afford, but if you can muster the cash, this phone sure is with every penny. I really don’t think anyone could have guessed that this phone would be coming out on Straight Talk & Net10 on the $45 unlimited plan. This phone is big, solid and powerful. I mean you can't expect anything more really for the price. Next thing Samsung Galaxy S II will be on Straight Talk. Anyway, the phone is really nice… exactly the same as the G2X that came out on T-Mobile last year, and nothing has been skipped. It has the same FCC ID. We already knew this but just to confirm the phone is using T-Mobile’s network... Which officially means Straight Talk has used every major network. The 8 MegaPixel camera on this phone is good during the day, but night shots with the LED flash are not good.

LG Optimus V Review

Submitted by Dave Won. on Thu, 10/06/2011
There seems to a fair bit of heavy competition taking place at the moment in the Android prepaid world, and this is Virgins answer to the battle The LG Optimus V. Currently $99 at Best Buy stores it proves to be the one phone that is a reason to get excited, LG phones are typically high quality and this one is no different. This phone has to be used with the Beyond Talk plan. Which if you go for the cheapest plan, for $35 per month you get unlimited Data/Web/Text and 300 Talk minutes. Which really is a good deal. This phone is almost exactly the same as the LG Optimus S model.
