Out now on Tracfone online store $29.99

This phone is pretty cool, it is a lot like the LG900G that we reviewed for NET10 the major difference being that this phone is a lot smaller.

Priced at $29.99 on Tracfones online store this is a great phone for the price, and like the LG900G it also has a 3.5mm headphone jack which will make many happy, the phone doesn't come with a SD card but there is a slot near the Sim card slot to put one in.

Overall, great value for money.

Very similar to the LG C100 Wink phone.

Timeout Error

Comment:

Once the song starts, go to Options, then choose File Info. That usually "blocks" the error for a few songs. I'm still looking for a more permanent solution.

Change time

Comment:

You can't manually set the time. Go to Tools, then scroll down to World Time and select the correct time zone for you. That's the most you can do.

MicroSD memory card

Comment:

The LG500G can't take anything bigger than 4GB, so forget filming anything big.

Stop hitting browser key

Comment:

Lock your keypad when your phone is not in use. At the very bottom of the keypad, 2nd button from the left there is an Envelope and a key together. Press once to go to text messaging. Press and hold and it locks your keypad until you unlock it. No more accidentally hitting buttons.

Comment:

I keep getting Time Error Retry? yes or no while trying to play music. I get a snippet of music (20 seconds maybe) then the error. Any suggestion?

Switching to speaker phone

Comment:

To switch to speaker phone press the middle button on the pad after you have started a call with someone. To turn it back off, press the middle button again.

Changing The phone to the correct time and date.

Comment:

The time and date is set automatically whenever the phone first connects to the network. If the date or time is wrong, turn the phone off, wait several minutes and turn the phone back on. When the phone re-connects to the network the correct date and time will be set.

LG500G on/off switch problem(s)

Comment:

If your phone won't power up, you may have a on/off switch problems. See other blogs about that. I have found that if you take out the battery for a moment and reinstall, that the phone switch may allow you to restart. Keep the phone on and the battery topped -up all the time if you discover it still acts incorrectly.

Vibrate/ring

Comment:

Is there a setting on this phone to get it to vibrate and ring at the same time? And if so how do you do it?
