What was the purpose of the USB cable?

  • damien  - do walmart have the tuch screen fone

    for straight talk

  • Dave  - Walmart touch screen

I haven't seen this phone in the walmart shops myself; I know you can get one from the straight talk website.

  • Tigger  - USB cable is a MUST!

The USB cable is worth it buddy... it lets you transfer music/video/documents etc. to and from the phone... it also lets you use the phone as a modem for 3G internet access. So $40 is expensive for a cord, yes... but for what it does for you - its totally worth it. ;))

  • summers

I NO IT IS TOTALLY WORTH IT. THIS IS THE ONLY PHONE THAT I SAW THAT IS PREPAID. DUDE,I THINK OTHER PEOPLE SHOULD SEE THAT TO.

  • ben  - Don't need USB for pics/music/etc.

You don't need the USB to transfer music, just buy a microSD that comes with an SD adapter, and put it in your PC's SD slot, or get a USB SD slot for your PC for like $10, I don't think the phone will work as a modem, I think the company disabled that feature. Straighttalk/net10/tracfone

  • Tigger  - Finesse! oh yeah baby, what a tight phone!

:x Walmart does have these right on the shelf, they are the only Straight Talk phones that does do 3G... so the internet on these phones is fast! Thats why they are so expensive. No other phone offered by Straight Talk has 3G that I know of so far.
The $399 price tag is whats keeping me from getting one. Until it comes down to about $100 they can keep it. I mean we can buy a beautiful laptop for 400 bucks ya know? Its ridiculous... period. :0

  • CAJUN LADY

my local walmart doesn't have this phone and walmart clames servici not avaibale in my zip

  • Anonymous

:D :D that is a nice phone like wow and my walmart does not have it..so i think you guys should ship them to portcharlotte or punta gorda walmart.an i hope this phone is not a high price like come on im hearing $300 to $400 if it is that phone can stay...

  • summers  - re: Walmart touch screen

;) is that i dont get is that the minute card is SO expensive and the Track Fone card is only $20 and this card costs $35. I'm thinking about getting one of those phones

  • kylie  - uhmm ur wrongg!!

:?: when u said "u cannont watch videos from youtube on this phone straight from the internet" u actually can!! all u have to do is type in m.youtube.com in the browsers area and it will direct u to youtubes mobile website and then u can watch videos!!

  • Dave

    Thank Kylie,

Can you give us a report on how well the video runs?

we were under the impression that, the was no flash player installed?

Please help update this review :-)

  • c-dubb

how much does the phone cost

  • ben

    :angry-red:

You can go to the side, but when you try to view the video it says "Unsupported" and goes back to the site. Tracfone doesn't want you to use that much bandwidth, and even small downloads around 2MB are "too large".

Interesting Ben, so if a 2MB is to large, then why have 3G, seems pointless.

  • Ben  - Exactly.

    :x

I agree completely, what's the point of their 3G? I may as well be using 2G WAP! :)

  • Ben  - Too much $$

I bought this phone for $328, and it's definitely not worth it. Maybe $150?

  • Brandon  - elissa just go on ebay.com and u will find them an

  • Elissa  - Cant find it...

:angry-red: I cant find this phone for straight talk ANYWHERE!

  • billy  - 1

so how much is it for the phone it self???

  • ed  - Finesse R810C

samsung has stopped making the Finesse R810C. it is no longer on the walmart website or the straight talk site.

  • Ben  - It's near me

It's at my walmart , near Syracuse, NY. Maybe you should try walmart.com? I know that samsung, or any other phone manufacturer, usually stops making phones by the time tracfone/net10/straighttalk gets them, as they are wholesale buyers of phones and stock minutes from cell companies, creating a mnvo that covers the US. Keep looking, you should find one... I had to exchange mine for a new one in July as the screen was really scratched and wouldn't work. These screens scratch really easy, so get a case or screen protector. If you have a credit card, u could try to get it on eBay or walmart.com

  • SUSTAGULL

    i want that phone :angry-red: how do i get it????????? :0 :0

  • Ben  - @Seaagull & ANONYMOUS

Uhm, well, you could get it for cheap if you found it used on craigslist or ebay, etc.

Well, you could get a red one IF YOU PAINTED IT RED. jk! but, I don't think they make them in any other colour than black. You could try getting a snap-over case for it.

  • Ben  - * 'SUSTAGULL' & ANONYMOUS *

    :D :D  :x :no-comments: :0 ;)) ;) :)

    sorry SUSTAGULL, wrong name :)
